Internship Program Attracts New Talent

Here is what some of our interns are working on...

Olivia Owre-Bell, Community Stewardship Intern, is developing curriculum for our Oysters on the Half Shell program. This curriculum will be used in Bay Area classrooms to teach students about native oysters and the ecological importance of cleaning up the Bay.

Madeleine Foote, Fundraising Intern, is organizing our Oysters on the Half Shell Happy Hour, a major fundraising and awareness event that will take place in October at the Craneway Pavillion. Madeleine has been doing all of the legwork involved in organizing this big event and learning the ins and outs of nonprofit development.

Alan Sechman, Restoration Intern, went straight to the field to serve as a site leader for the Green Academy. He is helping The Watershed Project refine this program, and will also be coordinating creek restoration and stewardship workdays during the coming year.
